We have no secret formula for growing a great lawn since no two lawns are alike. Our lawn care specialists take into consideration that our customers’ lawns consist of different grasses and even different varieties of the same grass, all having various strengths and weaknesses. Our lawn care program includes seven steps that are guaranteed to provide your lawn with everything it needs to grow thick, lush and velvety green. Because we will commit ourselves to quality work, we ask for a 1 year commitment to our service.  Since no two lawns are the same, and some broadleaf weeds have different life cycles, statistically it shows that it can take a year to get a lawn about 80% under control, permitting you as the homeowner will follow all mowing and watering instructions.

Step 1:The first step is an application of effective pre- and post-emergent herbicide to remove excess vegetation.

Steps 2-5: These applications include post-emergent herbicide and different types of fertilizers depending on the type of grass, time of the year and the needs of your turf.

Step 6: This application includes fall/winter pre- and post-emergent herbicide.

Step 7: The last step includes an application of winterizing fertilizer to help your lawn’s root system.

BladeRunner applies high-quality pre- and post-emergent weed control applications. However, you can still get weeds throughout the year. On each of our lawn care visits, our technicians will walk the entire property and spot treat weeds as necessary. If a problem arises in between applications and you have noticed after 10 days of service that there are still weeds actively growing, give us a call and we will return and re-treat the area at no extra cost.

Untreated Fungus and diseases can have a disastrous effect on the health and appearance of your lawn. Grubs are one of the most destructive lawn pests and if left untreated, can completely destroy your turf. The offspring of Japanese beetles, grubs are white, “c”-shaped insects that live just under the root level of your lawn. They survive by feeding off grass roots, depleting them of water and nutrients. Their constant feeding may eventually lead to the death of your lawn if professional service is not sought. Our liquid aeration application is a blend of environmentally friendly components that loosens and aerates compacted soils or helps areas where plant growth is hard to sustain. We recommend having this beneficial service performed at least once a year to allow air, water and nutrients to permeate deep into the root zone, resulting in thicker and greener grass.

BladeRunner has two options for overseeding.

Option 1: We will use a dethatcher to work seed into the soil, and apply a starter fertilizer. After the seed has germinated we’ll return to fertilize and touch up areas with seed by using a spreader where seed has not started to grow.

Option 2: We can also overseed without the use of a dethatcher. Lawns have to be cut at 2 inches high before seed is applied. Fescue lawns need to be annually overseeded to keep them thick and lush. We will perform Irrigation Repairs only for our current customers who are on the full 7 Step Turf program. Irrigation is a very important part of your lawn care regimen. If your irrigation system is having problems, call BladeRunner immediately. Our trained and knowledgeable technicians will take a look at your system and quickly determine what is causing the problem. We will fix the problem and make sure your irrigation system is back online so your turf or landscape plants are not negatively impacted.
